Palliative Care

We at GWS work with an aim of providing emotional support and help our clients in dealing with the medical ailments they undergo. Our specialized palliative care program focuses on improving the quality of life for our clients during an illness, by providing services through a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals. This program is structured to meet the physical and emotional needs of the client and the family. The mix of services will be delivered by a team of nurses and doctors. The services include pain management, personal care and companionship support all designed to help manage pain for the patient and alleviate family caregiver stress. Our team of health care professionals spends as much time as necessary with the clients and the family members and supports them through every step of the way.

Our Aim

The program aims at treating people who are suffering from serious and chronic illnesses such as cancer, cardiac diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Alzheimer’s Disease Kidney Failure, Parkinson’s, and many more. The most common symptoms that are treated with the help of our Palliative Care program are pain, fatigue, nausea, and shortness of breath, depression, difficulty in sleeping, appetite loss and constipation.

The care plan helps our clients gain the mental and physical strength to carry on with their daily lives and also improves the quality of their lives by helping them gain control over their emotions and being in sync with the medical treatment which is being provided to them.
